I have it every 6 months after the surgery 4 years ago........good to have something to look forward to .
On my back........2 nurses and the specialist ready to attack my old man.
One nurse said "pull your gown up please".....which I did. She said "very good". I was so so tempted to say "well I think its very good"......but bottled out.
Ah well....only 6 months to wait for the next one

Do they still knock you out whilst they do it? Its been many years since I last had this done but my lasting memory is of the first pee afterwards.

Most hospitals these days do flexible cystoscopy where they can , where general anaesthesia is not not required - you'll get a dab of local anaesthetic gel on the end of the scope. If you're unlucky enough to require a rigid cystoscopy then you'll either get a general anaesthetic or an epidural.

It was about 1980 when I last had this done and I was knocked out, I'm not sure its something I'd want them to do whilst I was awake,
When I had this done some time ago the part that was most embarrassing, but funny, was where they cut a hole in a paper towel and put my old boy through it for the procedure.
Yes. You do sort of get used to it but its still difficult. One would think if a young lady grabs your todger and pulls it through towel with hole it would have a "certain" effect.......but its exactly the opposite
