    Hi folks,

I've just bought what I thought (from the advert which didn't have particularly good pictures) was a Triomphe LX rear derailleur, or at least what I assumed was likely a Triomphe S3 fitted with the cage off a Victory S3 LX..... however what's turned up is definitely a Triomphe body, the cage is significantly longer than the short-cage Triomphe I have sitting on a shelf in my shed, but the cage is built in such a way that one of the jockey wheels is screwed into the base of the cage pivot, rather than being offset like every other Victory/Triomphe mech I've ever seen... The cage looks like a Campy bit the front of the cage is a very nicely finished piece of aluminium, the rear cage is pressed chrome steel but very good quality, and exactly the sort of thing I'd expect on a Triomphe-level mech.... I'll try to get some photos when I get home, but does anyone know what I've bought?

Ah.... yes, that would be a Victory spec version of what I have, so no little toothed adjuster on the mount and a cheaper rear cage... IMG_20180217_082458.jpg IMG_20180217_082525.jpg IMG_20180217_082451.jpg IMG_20180217_082510.jpg

So hopefully I can play mix and match with the cages and get what I want, a long-cage Victory that will shift a 7-speed 11-28 freewheel using either a Syncro II or later Syncro 8-speed shifter as the spacing on the block is the same as Campy 8-speed (5mm). THe Triomphe I tried first has the sideways reach capbility to do it but won't go onto the 28T bottom gear.... Hopefully will have a chance to play this afternoon/tomorrow...

Many thanks classic33, I dunno why, but I'd looked at that entry on Velobase and convinced myself the jockey was offset, now I don't know how I managed to do that
