Can an Ahead set up be used on a threaded headtube? If so what are the issues?

Hmm, comfortable.

Good steel forks are better than carbon for absorbing road shocks.

Arg, I'm so conflicted!

Heh heh. Welcome to the confusing !

Both my steel bikes glide over crap road surfaces better than my fixed with carbon forks. There is just that little bit more fore/aft give in steel than in 'standard' carbon forks - I no doubt some of the more expensive carbon forks will respond much better.

Threadless headset costs
So I use carbon forks
Headset - £0 (I have one on my current SS)
Threadless carbon forks £40 (if I'm lucky)
TOTAL - £40


Actually there's not much in it is there!
