Can these scratches and marks be removed?

I knew they were on the glass when I bought the car the other week, so I don't have any qualms with the seller, but those marks are bugging me! If they were on the passenger side it wouldn't be so bad, but on the driver's side they are so obvious as I look right, especially in low sunshine. I could buy and get a replacement glass fitted, but I'm thinking it'd cost about £200 for the glass and fitting, so is there a cheaper option out there?

Nothing really. Try some glass polish to improve them/make the surface cleaner.

Difficult to see from here if they are marks on the surface or below, on they will come off, in they will not. Have a look on eBay you are likely to find a drop glass, most independent replacement guys would fit if for £50.

That's what I thought. Plus I don't have 'free' windscreen replacement in my insurance policy. It's something like £150 for a new screen and £30 for a repair, if it has a small crack in it.

I bought a 2016 1.4i Vauxhall Adam for £5,000, with my Fiat 500 taken in part exchange, so it cost me £4,000.

No because some are made for the driver's side, some are made for the passenger's side. It'd be like swapping footwear from one foot to the other.

I might try this. I looked at pre owned replacement glass on eBay. Most are around £40. If the below doesn't remove say 70 percent of the scratches appearance I'll buy a glass off eBay and have it fitted.
