I used to commute from west brom to longbridge all along the canals, was a fantastic way to start and end the working day.
Only had one mishap in about 10 years of doing that route, it involved a very angry goose it ended with me having tetanus jab in soaking wet cycle gear.

The angry ones used to be around Selly Oak

Usual down/gown culture clash.

Did the Netherton Tunnel Saturday.

Worst bit is coming out the Tunnel to meet the local chavvy kids.
Went from Netherton to Dudley 1st got to the other end and saw that the best option to avoid Dudley is back through the tunnel.

Went back in the gated side.

The Non gated side was fine, It's not rained for ages but still water drips from the roof so it's wet,
The gated side has some massive potholes and is just as wet.
