It's almost a shame to get it all oily again !

I won't see it anyway 🙂 All that work hidden.

Finally I have the chance to participate!

I changed the headlight bulb in the daughter's Fiat 500. Does that count?

If it helps it was an absolute bugger to get out. The electrical header did *not* want to let go of the bulb and as usual the car is designed so there isn't quite enough room for a human hand to get in there without something stabbing into the back of it.

Batteries aren't cheap. Especially stop start. If the one in my van goes, I'll be letting someone else fit it as there is a whole pile of electronic gubbins bolted to it, and it's at the back of the engine bay. They are apparently a 'pig' to replace.
One reason for always turning the ‘stop/start’ off whenever l use my Kodiaq

Yep, rarely ever use mine.
New battery fitted this afternoon, Yuasa EFB type. Halfords online were quoting £200 to supply and fit their own unspecified type.
So mine was £134 for a good battery, they're making £55 ish (minimum) to do 10 minutes work !!!

I do tend to opt for Bosch (from a registered supplier) with their 5 year warranty which I exercised when my battery was 4 years and 10 months and got a replacement for free (despite a bit of obfuscation by the seller).

...and pray the starter motor doesn't die.

MB do fit a somewhat beefier starter motor to their start/stop vehicles but if it dies it will have lasted more than 194,000 miles so I'll forgive it ^_^
