Is that the new car?
Yes
Got a phone call at work yesterday from the owner of the vehicle she caught the trailer of when she was trying to overtake it and completely misjudged the gap, panicked and kept going .The whole side of the car will need replacing .
thankfully work let me go home asap when i told them .
Had to get a hire car for the weekend as im taking mini ck 1 to a concert in london today and stopping overnight , had to get used to using gears again .
Courtesy car is coming tuesday when they pick up the car .
I hope she's okay
Thank you
She is very shook up and cant understand why she did it and atm doesnt want to drive again ever.
Of course we will lose our no claims bonus but next year the new car scheme is fleet insurance included in the price so its not an issue .
I am dealing with everything as she is in no state to sort things out and being supportive as its only a lump of stuff .

Another 5K miles oil, filter service on the C3.

I'm gathering prices for suspension work on the little car. Suffered a bad knee over the last few months, can't risk aggravating it again for prolonged kneeling doing the work.

Must get a proper car lift

we had a c3 at the weekend , ok for a quick trip but too small for us for holidays etc .

the car was collected yesterday but they didn’t have a courtesy car free atm , i hope we get one for holiday soon or it’s £400 for a week of car hire and the insurance isn’t covering it as its our fault .

Its our daughters car for the moment, she learn to drive in it. We bought it off a relative probably 5 years ago, its now 8 years old. I've been keeping up with all the servicing needed over the last year or so, new tyres, brakes, suspension, wet-cambelt, water pump change, stainless exhaust system, wipers and regular oil services. Oh and the recent Airbag recall

My daughter is getting a new car later this year and the Citroen will become our winter beater and local trip car again. Its only got 45k miles, so will last a good few years- hopefully 🙏

I dont fancy trudging or even cycling in the cold, often wet winter days. We live too far from nearest village for shopping to walk maybe 4 miles across bridleways

I used to live 8 miles from civilisation and it was never a problem or inconvenience not using a car. Prior planning, and all that. My car owning neighbours made all the excuses while I just got on with it.

Part of the reason for moving to the edge of town was to ensure we wouldn't be reliant on a car if neither of us could drive as we aged, or even felt like driving. I dont enjoy driving in the slightest, so a nice half hour walk with a warm coat and a brolly is positively welcomed.

Indeed, following my recent TIA the consultant opined that it was probably my well above average fitness thst saved me from worse - I wouldn't have maintained that getting in a car for a poxy four mile journey that I could comfortably cycle in less than 20 minutes.
