This is going to be embarrassing...
First powered vehicle - the mighty Honda C70!
Learned to drive in a Fiat 127, which subsequently ended up shiny-side-down amongst a hedge.
I didn't put it there.
VW Polo
Skoda Estelle 120
This car taught me about understeer and oversteer, mostly by suddenly going from one to the other :
Metro 1.0 L. We went to Andorra and back in it. Handy Hint - don't go to Andorra and back in one.
Fiat Uno 45S. Good to drive, handled well, stupidly economical. The clutch gave out after 13 months.
Fiat Tipo 1.6. Unmitigated shite.
Air-con and ventilation never worked properly, and the gearbox was like stirring mud. Far and away the worst car ever, which in the face of the rest of this list is really saying something.
Hyundai Lantra 1.6 estate. Comfy, roomy, fast and economical. At least compared with the Tipo.
Hyundai Accent. Oh dear. Slower, less roomy and less economical than the Lantra. Very reliable.
Hyundai Matrix. As above. Loads of room inside, very small on the outside, Reliable, but oh so dull.
Cadillac BLS TDi. Fast, economical, doesn't handle as well as it could, even though it's a Saab 9-3 in fancy dress. Some poor bugger dropped £17000 on this in 4 years, so it was nice and cheap when we got it. Love it.

Started with a beige Allegro 1750, peaked at a 928 S2, now I've grown up and like rugged practicality so stick with 4x4s (proper ones, not AWD or crossover pap).

Mini Van, converted with side windows and a back seat.......................Fell apart
How could I have forgotten...AKA The Pubmobile. The rear door handles fell off, and were replaced with cheap brass-effect wardrobe ones from B&Q, for that touch of class. Noisy, draughty, leaky, but great fun. Two up front, four in the back, sorted.

IIRC mine was an old K reg. The brake lights failed so I ran two wires from the pressure switch in the engine bay into the passenger seat and got the passenger to touch wires when I braked...temporarily of course.
The wings rusted out all around the headlights to the point the lights virtually fell out and the door bottoms were rotten.
What a wreck that was.

Here`s mine:

1984 Vauxhall Astra 1.3, This was half beige, half brown, used to overheat and the exhaust used to fall off going over speed humps........
1987 Vauxhall Nova 1.2, Not a bad little car, tried to modify it but ruined it, as you do at 19!
1991 Vauxhall Nova 1.4SR A money pit, hated it, glad to get rid
1991 Vauxhall Nova GSi A little pocket rocket, well you have to work through the models don`t you!
1992 MK3 Golf GTi Heavy and underpowered, sunroof leaked and ruined the interior
1996 MK3 Golf VR6 Reliable and an all round lovely car
1997 Peugeot 106 diesel What was I thinking?!!
1997 Vauxhall Astra 1.4 Bought this for next to nothing, had it many years, I was totally gutted to get rid of this one
2003 Golf R32 Still got this one, it`s a toy, too thirsty for everyday use but great fun. Love it
2000 Vauxhall Astra 2.0dti Used as a workhorse car, never any trouble
2001 Vauxhall Astra 2.0dti Bought this to replace the first one and still have it, won`t buy another Vauxhall, I think I moaned about this one in another post!

Not a huge list for 20 years of driving, but I hate changing cars nowadays, would rather be car-less to be honest, maybe one day!

(It all gets a bit hazy from here on, the Acclaim and the Laguna may be the other way around, I can't really remember. I can remember the reg numbers of all the cars above but not much at all about all the cars since)
Triumph Acclaim
Renault Laguna Estate
Some Japanese Estate, possibly a Toyota of some sort, only had it about two months, it was a very cheap stop gap buy and not long after getting it someone drove into it damaging the front wing, and a couple of weeks later it expired, the engine giving up the ghost in a cloud of smoke.
Nissan Micra

Car history:

Vauxhall mk2 Cavalier 1.6l
Vauxhall mk3 Cavalier 1.6gl
Ford mk4 Escort 1.8i Ghia
4th gen Honda Prelude 2.2i VTEC (epic car for a 19yo!)
Vauxhall mk3 Cavalier 2.0i CD (got this for free whilst I still had the Prelude, broke it and sold it all within about 2 weeks)
Vauxhall mk3 Cavalier GSI 2000 16v
Vauxhall Omega MV6 (did a swap for the GSI, regretted it, luckily the owner agreed to swap back)
Vauxhall mk3 Cavalier GSI 2000 16v
Vauxhall Vectra 1.8i LS (driving ban with above car so needed something cheap for insurance purposes)
Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SRI (stole the GF's car)
Vauxhall Corsa 2.0 16v (converted the 1.4 to a 20XE 'redtop'...aka the pocket rocket)
Vauxhall Astra Coupe Turbo
Vauxhall Astra mk3 Estate 1.7TD (again, another freebie that I picked up on the side that I moved on after a couple of weeks)
(New) R53 Mini Cooper S
Ford Focus Estate 2.0 TDCI (first child came along!)
E30 BMW 325i (weekend car, still have this)
E46 BMW 320d SE (wife's car, still have this...but not for long as kiddie number two is on the way and need a boot again)

The above doesn't include company cars:

Toyota Corolla Verso 1.8i
Citroen C4 1.6 TDCI
Ford Focus Sport 1.6 TDCI
Audi A3 Sportsback 2.0 TDI S-Line (Current car, love it!)

I think that's everything, as you can see...I used to be a Vauxhall man, now it would appear I'm a BMW man. Sorry. lol

1965?? Austin A35 van. A total rust bucket bought in 1972 for £35 and lasted 11 months before comprehensively failing it's MOT
1974 Fiat 600. Bought new as were all but the last two in the list! Very basic, very slow but cheap and reliable to run.
1976 Mini 1000. Another cheap and reliable car.
1978 Mini 1000. Nothing but problems
1980 Fiat 600. Another Friday car sold for more than I paid for it five months later!
1981 Vauxhall Chevette saloon. A nice car until someone rammed me at a School crossing patrol in 1983!
1984 Fiat Panda 1000cc Cheap and cheerful as we had two kids and money was tight. Ruined by another rear-ender as I waited at some traffic lights.
1987 Vauxhall Nova 1.3l Saloon It had the same engine as the sporty hatchback and so had wide tyres. Very fast, for 1.3l, and a joy to drive, until you tried to pull out of a side road in the wet, when it spun the inner front wheel every single time.
1990 Ford Escort 1.8l Diesel. A nice enough car and served me well.
1993 Ford Fiesta 1.8l Diesel two door. A great car it was a high end model and simply flew with that engine in it.
1995 Ford Diesel 1.8l Diesel four door. Another good car and confirmation that buying a second example of a car isn't always a bad idea.
1997 Renault Clio. A lovely little car which I passed on to my older son in 2001, who promptly had an accident in it. He then was taken ill and it was privately sold.
2001 Renault Megane Sceneic 1.6. Bought as preregistered with 12 miles on the clock. On the strength of my wife having had 3 Renault Meganes by then,I bought this and ran it for 8 years. Only once gave me trouble when a coil failed and Renault replaced them all as they were from a faulty batch.
2008 Toyota Auris TR 1.6l. A demonstrator bought in 2009, it had 8000 miles on it. Bought as my wife had a Yaris which we both liked. A great car to drive, and my present drive.
Since I remarried in 1994 my wife has had-:
1993 Ford Fiesta 1.3. A basic model but a good run around.
1996-2006 Three Renault Meganes, two 1.3l and the last a 1.6l Alize. (Which until I got the Auris was the nicest car we've had.) I clocked 121mph in this on a German Autobahn and it was still accelerating!
2006 Toyota Yaris. A great little car, it took us to Bordeaux and back with two bikes on a rear carrier with ease.
2012 Toyata Aygo 1000cc Automatic. Slow and the automatic change even slower! But very cheap to run and the first of my wife's cars that didn't have a gear change like stirring porridge by the time we sold it!
2014 Toyota Yaris 1.33l Automatic. Very nearly as good to drive as my Auris and the Megane Alize. The Automatic is a dream, being based on a Variomatic system. Our now go to car for longer distances as it has cruise control and my right knee really appreciates not having to keep still on the throttle for hours at a time.
