According to Warranty Direct, the most expensive warranty claims are on VW group vehicles.

Oh, look. The most reliable cars, as measured by a large company that lays to repair them. Not one VW group car in the top 10, and the bottom 10 rammed full of supposedly 'quality' German machinery...

The reality is rather different from the slick image these manufacturers promote, that a gullible media worships, and an even more gullible public falls for.

And of the manufacturers themselves, Vauxhall actually comes above VW and Audi, leaving only Skoda just pipping it. Even then that's a hollow victory as Ford, with probably little more kudos as a qualify product than Vauxhall, tops Sloda...

Remember, these rankings are derive from the frequency of breakdown , cost of repair and average time the vehicle is off the road. Unlike JD Power, which usually treats the VW Group fairly well, these rankings are based upon actual numbers, not peoples impressions or opinions. People buying the likes of VW Group or BMW because they perceive them as a quality product with above average reliability are simply deluding themselves.
And there i am, right at the top.(Mitsubishi Lancer) Thank you for passing the ammo, @Drago .

wasn't it Vauxhall that advertised with the odd knitted puppets a year or so ago and had them picking up some lady cyclist then too. they seem to like promoting the bike rack.

Yeahbut ... my op is misunderstood
I wanted to debate the sociological aspect of the message this car advert tries to convey and its possible effects on the cycling community, not the merits of the cycle carrier nor the specs of the car advertised.
Serves me right, was to chicken to post in the SC&P section
The integrated bike carriers on the Corsas are excellent. I know someone who is a keen crosser and he loves his. I bet he does two or three times more mileage a year than any of the people whingeing about cars.
Nice to hear a real report, if second hand, as I am vaguely considering a new car, and did look into them. However, as I don't carry the bike on the car very often I'm still not sold on them.

Viewing the latest ad, it seems that female drivers don't car how close they get to cyclists. Going so far/close as to be wiithin touching distance. Also shows cycling as too much effort, or a lazy female.

Edited so "how close the get to cyclists" to read "how close they get to cyclists".
