My dad had a dark green XJ6 I think, that was a wafty stylish car

Because Audi and all that accompanies them. So much of this is a feeling about the brand and its image tbh, and Audi is trying to be cool and stylish - and therefore cannot be!

In your opinion. Personally, I don't have an issue with the Audi brand I think the cars are overpriced and expensive to maintain (I looked at a TT once but was warned off as the clutches can be fragile and a new one is £600, that was a few years ago too mind)

I see nothing cool & stylish about a boxy 4x4...and all BMW X series seem to be driven by nobbers, that probably goes for the Q7 too but an A8 or S8 is cool...so is an RS6 estate (my brother fancied one but went for his rather cool and very rare Alpina estate instead)

The Coupe was derided in its day as being the choice for those who couldn't afford a Quattro. Shorn of the Quattros proportions, turbo, transmission, and saddled with an 80 parts bin interior. I can't see that time has changed that. Even worse was the 4 cylinder version, which really was Clark Kent dressed up as Clark Kent.

Like bikes I'm not much into retro cars but one of my daughter's friend's dad had a classic Citroen DS which was a thing of total beauty and cool. Just checked out prices though and £4k will get you a rough breaker. Working examples go at up to 10x that!
