I like the Bontrager ones as my avatar, sturdy but light, variety of colours to suit the bike After all, you have a Trek

What Vickster said, Bontrager do perfectly colour matched cages specifically for Trek and they look really great.
Material wise, plastic is best in my view, in terms of a snug hold.

Yeah you guys are probably right, I'll chuck the carbon idea in the bin!

I couldn't see any Bontrager that colour match the Emonda I'm picking up (Crimson Red), but the bike has black strips on it so a black cage is more than adequate.
