They come from Hansell Composites Ltd....

They can do a selection of finishes, etching, custom designs and other bits.
The workmanship is really good, i'm very impressed

They do loads of other carbon bits for bikes and willing to take on projects or custom work. Really nice guys and a pleasure to do business with.

Wow, those prices are very reasonable. I was thinking wallet busting stuff.. but not so.

That's not a bad price at all, compared to say Dura Ace hollow chain rings. About double the price of high end 7005 alloy rings.

Wear rates will be higher, but won't matter too much on a best bike.

After sufficient time with Carbon Chain rings, Im happy to report that I have not experienced any issues at all and the wear rate seems to be no worse than a normal chain ring.

So the next natural development is... Carbon Cassette

Should contrast nicely against the neon red of the Olympic Tarmac frame.

Titanium not light enough?

It is as much from a interest perspective as anything. Im interested in the shifting performance, durability of carbon used for this.
I already have a full Titanium Cassette with the same ratios as the Carbon Cassette I have on order so it will be interesting to compare the difference in weight.

I brought it for no other reason than this is my tart bike.. Although I'm a big fan of the carbon chain ring that is reality has no real justification or advantage over rings made from traditional materials from what I have experienced and I expect the same from the cassette at the very best. I simply appreciate things which are a little bit quirky like me

I think that all this obsession with weight is missing the most important consideration. Which is easier to keep clean?

The carbon one is probably equally as easy to keep clean etc! It will be less susceptible to salt etc at least.

Regardless, the carbon one will always look like a mucky cassette to a glance!
