Is there any acetone in nail varnish?

Good point - I'd read the post as nail varnish remover - but imagined the last word. That said although I have never used nail varnish I suspect it's the same solvent.

Probably won't hide heal rub well, but I use it on my black SRAM cranks that regularly take rock hits on the end of the crank arms.

Ever consider using crankarm boots ? They are for carbon cranks but maybe they would be good for normal ones too ?

I'd be extremely wary about getting acetone anywhere near a critical plastic component. A single drop of acetone could be catastrophic to carbon fibre
No, not so.

It does absolutely nothing to carbon fibre composites.

If you don't believe me, I'll send you a jar of acetone and a piece of carbon fibre so you can experiment for yourself.

Don't be daft, YS.

EVERYTHING destroys carbon fibre, oil, water, air, sweat, sugar, looking at it too hard. And that's only a small fraction of the total.
