Carbon Paint Chips

Hi all

Noticed a couple of circle paint chips on my Scott Addict Team Issue, do these look normal and to be expected with use?:

Both are near the top of the bottom tube just above the Scott logo. I have put some clear lacquer on them, just thought it was a bit odd for two to appear in the same place, this is a super light weight bike so don't know if they've just put thin paint on it?

Agreed, they look odd especially when they are unlikely to have been made by flying stones or summat. Did you buy the bike from a dealer? If so, I would take it back and ask if they've had any others like that because it looks like a paint fault to me. Possibly the frame was contaminated before they painted it and the paint didn't key?

Otherwise, go into a chemists and buy some nail lacquer the same colour and build up a few coats, the paint is thick, glossy and quite brittle.
