Carbon Steerer Tube Marks

Is this normal to a carbon steerer tube that have a stem marks or it is damaged?

Dunno about the marks as can't make it out from photos - but in last one the steerer bung is not sitting down in the steerer fully...

It looks like the fork has a manufactured 'indentation' that can be seen in the second and third photo (never seen that before) - but also in that photo looks like a crack. Is the steerer clean or does it have paste all over it? How deep is the crack?

The steerer is Clean sir.

It may be either:

a) stem overtightened making indentations in the carbon steerer.
b) a manufacturing defect
or c) it may be that you have some kind of insert inside the steerer tube, to strengthen the area where the stem clamps onto the steerer, and the carbon is formed around it, or similar.
