How about Ventoux on a Boris bike

Why did they waste all that time between picking it up and starting to ride? Three hours to get to Cardiff, a few more minutes to put their stuff on it and on the road by 4:00. Once they were riding, why did they do such long turns? Half hour at a time would have made more sense.
