If you mean where the bolt protrude through the half moon nut then I saw/file em flush.

Yes, thanks, that's it, I've not had this type of hanger before or a Carlton, all my bikes have been from the 1980's with the hanger built into the dropout. This is the older method, it has a few advantages, especially if it gets bent.........

Going out for a ride, on one of my other bikes, while it's sunny.......

Took the Carlton out for my first ride, noted that dual pivot brakes were effective, if not exceptional, probably due to the long drop calipers, I might change the bake blocks to longer MTB blocks. Frame is nice to ride, it's 25 1/2inch, so I can stretch out. No mudguards on it yet, so I got back before the rain started.

When the mudguards are on, it will be my Winter/wet weather bike. :smile:
