I'm getting a new Carrera in a few days from Halfords after my insurance paid out when I got hit on my bike. I noticed this bike comes with the old style toe clips and straps just wondering if they are any harder to use than shimano clipless pedals I had on my old mtb or weither it's worth getting new pedals for it.

Just spend £20 max on Shimano M520 (SPD) if you have the shoes. The pedals will be cheap resin ones with straps, pretty crap

Good point just going to take the old pedals from my mtb and put them on my Carrera

If you are familiar with SPD pedals then you won't want to use those cheap plastic toe clips and straps.
As Vickster said Shimano M520 for £20.

Are the new Virtuoso's made from chromoly,like the old ones(i had one)?

Just like this one,but in better condition.

Sorry not been on in a few days, I actually ended up buying a vanquish but that's made of an alloy frame and carbon fork and steerer.

Pretty much the same spec as my self built vanquish albeit i use r501 wheels
