There's the story of the school inspector checking up on the RI teacher's class. He asks a few basic questions "you boy, who knocked down the walls of Jericho?". "I didn't do it sir" is the quick reply. The inspector challenges the teacher who tells him. "Oh that's young Johnnie. He's a good lad so if he says he didn't do it, then I'm sure he didn't do it". Later on the inspector is reporting his findings to the headmaster who thinks for a minute then says "we do need to keep a sense of proportion for things like this. Johnnie is generally a good lad as his teacher said. How much is rebuilding this wall going to cost?"
