Cassette Body Damage

My Novatec hub cassette body is showing signs of wear, some indentations on the raised parts, I've only run Ultegra cassettes so was surprised to see this wear after only 4000 miles or so.

Is this normal?

Do I need to replace the cassette body or have I a bit more life left yet?

Thanks

Nothing wrong with that. Perfectly normal on an alu freehub body. File the burrs down if necessary (they don't look bad enough to me) and carry on.

Aluminum body, its not unusual. I'd get a file and clean it up, only really to ease the refitting of the cassette. The wear is there, it can't be made better, but it won't really be a problem IMO.

I only use steel ones these days for SS
I do wonder about inserting one of their aluminium hub gear drivers into whoever at Shimano decided that soft alloy was the right thing to use for something that has a hard sprocket put on it... but the hard sprocket might be better  Edit: the OP might find similar thoughts about Novatec comforting.
