Cateye padrone smart computer

Hi guys and girls I recently purchased a cateye padrone smart computer for my new bike . Have had a few rides with it now and the speed reading seems very erratic at times,also when I upload the ride to strava ,strava always gives me a +•3 better average than my cateye computer does. Just wondering if anyone else had had any experience with this computer.

Not that exact cateye but +/- is normal between devices never mind Strava. Check all the stats, I'm sure you will notice more differences than just speed.

Chances are that Auto-Pause is enabled on Strava, so when you slow down to stop, or start again, it takes a second or two to realise you're moving again and so doesn't record those seconds of slower speed, whereas the Cateye will.

I notice a difference in speed calculation between Garmin Connect and Strava, despite them both using the same data source - the assumptions they make will change the calculation ever so slightly.
