Catford Gyratory bus contraflow to be legal for cyclist use

Funnily enough I've been trying to be mostly a good boy and make it around the 3 legs of the gyratory when southbound. Although it can get a bit hairy sometimes, I do love the corners when taken at speed on a recumbent.

I also like it. If you have the lights & stay in Primary.. it can be great fun.

I noticed today that cycle signs have now gone up on the bus lane.

I noticed today that cycle signs have now gone up on the bus lane.

I noticed that earlier this week. I was driving to pick someone up from the airport so I can't be sure but they appear to have put an old sign up - it certainly didn't look new. A recycled cycle sign?

Do we know when this will take actual effect, will the signs be changed or something...

Since the cycle signs are up now, I assume it's already in effect.

Gyratorians might be well advised to take a detour around Catford this evening - Lewisham Town Hall has been shut because of the threat of violence and the situation is being described as very tense. The riots are not targetting cyclists but it might be wise to keep an eye out for trouble and quicker to make a detour.
