Like you I'm suprised to read that, perhaps he's had time to reflect and has learned to take some disappointments as well as the success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would imagine there have been a few visits and calls from British Cycling to secure the services of Cav as like most I am surprised to see him back on the track.

...or Wiggins is not going!

Yes, I wondered that. I sincerely hope it's not the case though.

I also did wonder whether Wiggins absence is also related to the (real?) reason he pulled out of out of Paris-Nice... head problems and back on the sauce???? Shoot me down, please. I want to be way off the mark.

He's the fastest (often) after a stage of 150k not that he'd beat an out and out sprinter like Hoy over 200m!

If he's the fastest guy on the planet, his words not mine, then why isn't he doing the sprint?

He's an endurance rider. Approx. four - six stone too light for a sprinter.

Don't confuse road with track. Different disciplines need different physiques.
