To all riding tomorrow: enjoy! Hope the rain stays off for you.

If in doubt on how slow I am, ask MDB or George from E. Kilbride
Seriously, I wouldn't go on a guy's ride, I am really too slow for that!
BTW, I would have thought Jaz, being young, would be really swift :bicycle:

I'm not as swift as you would imagine and the only CC Eccosse ride I've been on was on a steel single speed

On Single Speed - with no front brake ... and no breakfast .. and no ... and ... ??

He did well, though, did young Jaz. :bravo:

I'll be more prepared this time. I even have brakes! Bought an energy bar and I reckon I'll grab another out of Evans in the morning. Going to have some porridge and a banana before I go! Haven't cycled in 2 weeks though, jelly legs!

I've just realised I use exclamation marks just a bit too much!

I think I got through the Perth ride with the help of tug bensons energy bar (thanks ) and the encouragement from others, I hope it's the same this time around  I'm a bit more competent with the ol' cycling lark now.

Just in from a 10 minute cycle to test out my shifting, it works. I can only describe that ride as the most uncomfortable ride I have ever had. The bib shorts are very uncomfortable, they crush my 'things', the padding feels rock hard and the straps are very irritating and itchy. Instant sore knees as soon as I got on the bike, I'll now fiddle with the cleats to test them but I might have to ask Evans to help me out tomorrow so I'll come early.

A grey and slightly foggy morning here in Glasgow - but it looks to be clearing up just in time for the ride.

See you all in an hour and a bit.
