No, mashed is disgusting. Crushed is delicious and luckily only costs twice as much in the stupid restaurants I go to..
What about 'smashed'? Apparently, that's a trending thing over here in Melbourne, e.g. smashed avocado on toast, or "smashed avo" (because some people are just too lazy to pronounce the whole word: too many syllables, apparently).

I can't help wondering how they smash it: do they throw the avocadoes against a wall, hit them with a tennis racquet, drop-kick them a la Australian Rules Football, etc?

@Marmion - it's also the staple food for nobbers from Brighton.
I guessed as much

Kale isn't human food so you can skip that too.

I used to feel guilty feeding it to cows.
That's the kind of statement that Samuel Johnson made about oats!

"A grain, which in England is generally given to horses, but in Scotland supports the people."

I like the response of Lord Elibank ...

"Yes, and where else will you see such horses and such men?"

:okay:

Try lightly frying thinly sliced fennel, yellow pepper and leek with soy sauce then placing on either a paper or foil square and plonking a salmon steak on top with the chopped fennel 'fronds' and some chopped chives, scrunch into a parcel and bake at 180 for 20-25 mins. :hungry:

It's in the oven, although with a marinade of olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and garlic.
