chainring advice

hi guys, you can tell its allmost cross season with all the questions...

how low can you go on a compact chainset, i dont think you can get lower than a 34 is that right?

I thought a compact was an MTB 110pattern. 32?

You'll be lucky to get anything smaller than a 34 on a compact road set. A 34/46 with a 12-28 block will see you right on nearly every course

yeah was thinking that, a just wantin to try and get away with running a smaller cassette if i have to endup using a block as im finding it hard to find a decent selection of 28hole front and rear hubs...as the tub rim im using are 28's

Theoretically it is a 33, in practice a 34.

I've got a 34 I'd like to swap if you've got a 36/38 (shimano compact).

Whats the bcd of inner rings on triples?? Is that the same as compacts or not?

Most triples have 74 bcd for the inner.
