Chainring bolts (Brompton)

Quick question:

Should there be four or five chainring bolts on the post 2013 spider?

I've still got a bit of creaking on my bike, and one of the things I checked was to make sure the bolts on the chainring were all done up.

In doing so, I notice that there's not one behind the crank arm, but it looks like you could screw one in through the chainring and directly into the crank.

So, do I have a screw loose or was there never one there in the frist place.

Five, and I think I had the same problem as you. Lots of creaking and a missing bolt. I ended up having to get a new set of five from Brilliant Bikes (I think) to replace the missing one behind the crank. The missing one is a single bolt, whereas the other four have two parts btw.

Thanks. I've just had a look for some spares and they do mention five bolts in the descriptor.

Time to spend some more cash.
