Provided you get a compatable bottom bracket, or bearing cups in the case of outboard systems you can fit any make you like, they are not specific to the rest of the groupset.

If you have not seen this then it is definitely worth a look to satisfy yourself what you have and need.

Further if you are changing the size of the large ring then there are implications for your chain length and front mech elevation.

If you are changing the range (i.e. tooth difference between the biggest and smallest ring) then there are potential implications as to whether your front mech and rear mech are compatible (and more information is required).

Also check crank length. Match it up to your current crank if that feels comfortable.

This crank length calculator tells me I have wrong crank length for my inside leg length.
I'm still going to stick with 170mm though :whistle: .
