@screenman ..m180, cant remember where I came off but went past a small airport, onto a road called high street, (it isn't a high street) for 20 miles, bloody hell, it almost has a road surface in some parts, absolutely terrible

I know where you were going, that was Caistor High Street, they have just done it up a month or so back, one of our better roads now.

The M180 has parts in Lincolnshire.

You are correct, but it never used to be.

Trust me, you do not want to be doing anything on the hard should of a motorway, other than getting quickly to the other side of the barrier:

Adam and Paul were trained, had many years' experience and were doing everything correctly, and this was still the tragic consequence.

Here is some very good advice:

And he is allowed his license back after 8 years. Unbelievable. Should be a permanent ban for that.

Yeah, the messages and video footage had no bearing on the crash. Disgusting

And coincidentally today I just changed my wheels over for the first time ever. Winter boots
Do you know something about upcoming weather you want to share? Seems either quite late, or very early to change them now

the inbound DAF was so close he knocked his own mirrors off. (you see the wagons mirror land next to the driver)

A few years back I did change an offside tyre heading up Drumochter on the dual, it was late at night so quite quiet, everytime something come along I climbed over the barrier - it took a while.[/QUOTE]
Who drives with one wheel in the hard shoulder?

Could also be a foriegn driver in a right hander! difficult to get your road positioning correct for a few days.

I get the impression that LHD trucks are over represented in collisions with cars on motorways. This is based purely on seeing the sad combination of dented car and pulled up foreign plated truck on the hardshoulder too many times. Anyone got any stats?
