Changing a flat mid ride - poll

Inspired by the other changing flat poll (the one about turning bike upside down - or not - to fix a rear flat).

When out on a ride, what method do you follow ?

I wonder if there would be any takers for upside down, waiting on the support car ??

The success of a CC poll is judged (by me) entirely on whether it generates a nice curve. I'm not holding out much hope for this one since the answer is so obviously 'B' that only an idiot would vote any other way.

I do things properly.
That is why I have a nice clean saddle and very few punctures.

I was aware that B was the most likely outcome, but I saw a video on youtube (of a speed puncture repair) done where the bead was unseated on only one side and the tube stuffed in and it was this that got me thinking - hence the poll.

I added the other three options in case there were any pro's in our ranks that only go on training rides with a support car in tow ... and the last two were to account for people that just can't change a tube e.g. disabled folk, or those that just can't be bothered faffing about at the side of the road.

Is there any other option? Does anyone really sit on the roadside and remove the entire tyre?

I fall into the idiot category A for me, after checking for anything poking through the inside of the tyre obviously.

Us A's can still look down on the taxi callers though hey?

Unbead one side, can't see any good reason to take the tyre right off.

Always then take the tube out, make sure I keep it the same way round and find the puncture, line it up on the tyre and search for the sharp object responsible.

Apart from that there's not much carefully about it!

Sorry Mickle, I reckon only an idiot would take the tyre off completely.
