I've just given mine another thorough test. Mountain biking, (or rather walking) along a marshy bridleway on Muncaster fell. On a number of occasions I sank in far enough for the water to flood in over the top of my shoes (but not socks), my feet are still dry![]()
The ones I was using are these - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/sealskinz-thin-ankle-length-socks
I have size 10-10.5 feet and the Large size are just big enough. If my feet were size 11s I'd probably go up a size.
The downside with these socks is that if water gets in the top then it stays there, and they take far longer than normal socks to dry. They are also less elastic than normal socks and not as soft.
hi guys, just came across your thread, any chance i could throw my hat into the ring if spaces available?
