cheap chain - links

I was reminded of this thread this morning when near to ASDA so popped in. Got a chain for £4 then noticed their cable kit, brake and gear cables front and back, inners and outers and ferrules, all for £4. That'll do me for my next service!

Thanks to TheDoctor for the information. ASDA would have been the last place I would have thought of.

Search 'Kmc X8-99 7-8 Speed Chain'It's bizarre in that its not the X8-99. THe silver/grey one at £6.39 is a strong narrow Kmc Z8s whilst the £5.40 brown one is a Kmc Z7.Both are fine for 5 to 8 speed and have quicklinks.


£1.40++ might certainly be a worthwhile quality increase.

Fair comment if you don't factor in £2-£3 post and packing.
