Are these safe to use ? Would they attack alloy components etc ? Just wonder if some of these items would discolour paint ? Serious question.

Edit a quick google has answered the question, yes they will, trick is to not leave on for long.

I've be using Fenwick 1ltr degeaser for my chain for some time but I was wondering if a cheaper degreaser would do a decent job. For instance, has anyone used either of these and, if so, what did you think, and which one is better?

Any other product suggestions appreciated.
cheap degreasers ruin paintwork, plastics and rubber - you've been warned!

I bought the no nonsense one last week, using it ten to one solution for general bike cleaning and its great. It does remove grease and oil but not without extra scrubbing if it's really dirty. The last two rides have been muddy so I have just sprayed the whole bike and then rinsed it all off with a garden pressure sprayer. It does remove some oil from the chain so that has to be reoiled. My plan is to use it neat at some point in a chain scrubber. It's very good value as 5l will last a long time
