Cheap tracking device......

Found this whilst browsing facebook, cheap tracking device that connects to an app on your mobile phone. The idea in itself is good, the only real issue I have is that the tracker is too big to "hide" on the bike so you would have to rely on the thiefs stupidity to not find the device. Personally I think a similar device built into the saddle or frame would be far more successful.

Edit; cost is roughly £20 per device but then there are international postage costs to consider.

Good idea in theory and useful if you've mislaid something around the house, but it relies on there being another user of the tracking app being within 100m of the lost item.
A couple of problems with this.
How many app users are there out there? And what happens if you lose something in a sparsely populated area?
Not much use if I lost my keys in the middle of the burrows when out walking the dog.

Ah, i had missed the bit about it only having a 100mtr range, I thought it was a bit too good to be true.

Good for built up areas, where more people may have the app downloaded.
