I too have some Conti's but I much prefer Schwalbes 'Clear' dust caps -I wish I could bring myself to buy cheap innertubes, unfortunately I am such a tart, I have to have Continentals with the yellow dust caps.
You do realise the caps are there to stop the tubes puncturing prior to installation? You are meant to throw them away when you install.
They do help keep the fragile air valve clean and reduce the risk of damage to it though.
