My neighbour had an Odyssey 3 console (his dad had a better job than mine). We loved Quest for the Rings (and none of the other games- they were all supremely rubbish)

I was always the guy with the sword and he was the wizard who could fire asterisks, the other two characters were crap. It was great because we were competitive and had big arguments when playing most other games. For this one you had to cooperate, also it meant you weren't forever waiting for a go.

Never heard of that one. We had a Grandstand computer came. It was top of the range as it had tennis-style games but also motorbike and shooting games. It was very like this but didn't have the cartridge slot:

I used to have hours of fun on my Binatone TV game. I dusted it off recently and plugged it in. Still works a treat! (this one's not mine by the way - got the picture off t'net)

When console games first sprang on the scene.
Live link to the BBC via house phone to play some maze type game...

Some kid would get all hyper...
Erm...UP! UP! LEFT! NO! NO! RIGHT! NO, RIGHT! RIGHT, RIGHT!!!!!

Then you could hear them hyperventilating down the phone. :thumbsup:
