ALL the phones have a button that depresses when the handset is put back in the cradle!

We used to grease the handset of the phone in the spares department and page them from the workshop, might do it again tomorrow as it never gets old!.

Anyone remember the Mr Angry line? T'was a premium line, you'd call it and then transfer it through to someone. Great fun.

I remember the pool and fountain at CMK Shoping Centre, now called the Centre MK. As a young TVP bobby I'd often pop into the security office lounge to use their loo or have a quick brew. Security once told me that in the hot weather people would ignore the "no swimming" signs and go for a dip. Security would saunter across and inform them the pool was full of sodium hypochlorite descaler, and if they ran home quick enough they might make it before their clothes dissolved away to nothing and their skin fell off.

Anyway, I know two people who (at different times) got told that story and went home quick...
