Childish things adults do

I was drinking a cocktail the other night at a party when a bloke threw a 1 pence coin in my drink. What's that all about? Also people knock their bottle onto an opening of somebody else's bottle to make the beer gas up and erupt all over. What is the matter with these people?

I hated being the victim of childish bullying when I was a child and I hate it even more so now.

Same here. I was born with bad hearing, and had to wear hearing aids as a primary school student. I got bullied mercilessly for it, and it turned me into the extreme introvert I am now. Children can be very cruel, sometimes, and unfortunately some of them never grow out of it.

I occasionally have to work with some irritating men-children (and women) and frankly I haven't got the time of day for them.

These drinking games rely on peer pressure.
Just ignore it and they will quickly leave you alone.

It is fun to do silly things but some people regress to really childish behaviour, 1 guy in particular we work with can be so immature it is unreal, I have pulled him up a couple of times but now I just ignore him best I can.

Hearing issues are difficult to deal with because others don't understand, mine isn' t perfect so to a point I understand where you are coming from

I was bullied at school. However, the tables deliciously turned when I had a sudden growth spurt at 14 and shot up to beyond 6 feet and 14 stones. I was bigger than the teachers. The first bully to try it on was a year older, but instead of me running off sobbing as in previous encounters, he ran off with a broken collarbone and I got in trouble for not going to get a teacher when he started picking on me. Somehow I didn't think "excuse me old chap, would you mind awfully not kicking my teeth in for a moment so I can summon a teacher?" was likely to help.

Anyway, you're quite right. These bullies grow into adulthood and behave like the OP describes.

As said in previous posts, nothing wrong with not growing up...but you do witness some remarkably immature behavior sometimes, almost childlike. Watch Big Brother, you'll know what i mean.
