I went to school with a guy called Cornelius. that was proper poncy where we grew up where a name like Derek was considered posh
I had a schoolmate called Cornelius too... it was shortened to Con.
And I had an Italian (male) schoolmate called Andrea. He called himself Andy.

I know someone called their kid Cain. Bit bizzare considering his main claim to fame was killing his brother. Maybe their next one will be an Oedipus.

Maybe it's from the TV show Kung Fu, could be worse, he could be called Master Po.

Cain, Kain or Kane all mean victory in battle, warrior, fighter, or similar in Ireland..

Oops, I stand corrected. They are not Irish, but I guess they could have looked it up. I'm not sure on the spelling either (without some FB stalking).

My sister once worked with a woman whose daughters were called Faith, Hope and Charity.

I overheard a pregnant black woman on the bus telling her friend that if it was a girl, she was going to call it Bianca, "coz it's Italian for black". I hope someone put her right!
I had a Faith, Hope and Charity in the same class once.
I used to know a catholic family whose first four sons were called Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
