I forgot to mention before. My next door neighbour some years ago, shall we say startled me with a 15ft shooting flame coming from his backyard! I asked him what had happened he told me his wife had left a wok on full heat while she chopped up some meat to deep fry in the thing. He'd ran outside with it when it burst into flames then threw water on it which resulted in the shooting fireball! Imagine that hitting a kitchen ceiling then coming back down onto anyone near!

I've seen this water and oil with a mobile fire service demo...quite spectacular, very scary if you were in there.

Ah well it's a hard life sometimes...

My mates house a few doors down from myself just went on fire a few weeks back for the very same reason, his brother came back drunk, put on chips and fell asleep, they had to rescue his sister from the upstairs window, they did end up losing the dog
