This is a copy of the report for my doc

"As you are aware Ritchie has been struggling with posterior knee pain for some time.

When I examined Ritchie he seemed to have sub-optimal lumbo-pelvic and hip mechanics, which looked like they were in response to reduced neural mobility. Certainly there was shortness of iliopsoas rectus femoris and the ITB bilaterally. He also exhibited a positive slump test bilaterally.

There has been some positive changes in Ritchie’s symptoms within treatment sessions. Indeed, he has been able to run once without discomfort during or after, and this would indicate that this dysfunction is correctable."

Any thoughts?

Have you considered a DORN practitioner. I have one (In Stafford) and she is awesome. Sorted my sciatica right out. I know that I now live in Norfolk but more than happy to drive to Stafford for treatment as I only ever need one or two of them.

My less back cracky than a chiro. Definitely worth a look.

Neither was I until a friend of the family became a practitioner. I went in desperation with nothing to lose except my pain. The pain didn't go immediately, it took about 36 hours but the sciatica stayed away for a couple of years. When it has it's occasional flare up, I ring her up and then drive to Stafford. 1 or 2 treatments and normal life is resumed.

I've use a chiropractor on and off for maybe 12 / 15 years. The first time after a severe bout of back pain which had me off work for almost a week. Sadly the doctor offered very little help and suggested paracetamol and bed rest. It actually got worse just laying down.
I went to a practitioner who my wife had used. He got me back on my feet and walking straight again right away. The pain eased and I was working again the following day.
I didn't need to use him again for years and when I did it was the same story. A bit of manipulation and I was walking straight and functioning. No neck or spine cracking, no hoodoo, no trying to flog me, potions and pills. I asked him what he was doing and he explained everything, the whys and wherefores. Why the muscles were in spasm and why what he was doing eased it. There is no placebo effect for me. It just works.
It could be that a damn good massage from a sports physio would do the job just as well but I would still have to pay.
Now I'm older, and stiffer, I find I do need to use his services more often and in fact I book a session once every 4 months or so just to ease out tight muscles and stiffness.
OK it's a cost but well worth the money from my perspective.

I was sent by my Gp for physio (useless) and then to a chiro (equally useless) and both took ages and ages to get an appointment with.
DORN is much gentler and really works for me. My practitioner is called Dawn

I have been considering an inversion table for my back pain.Has anyone used one or would recommend one as they seem to get a good report.?

I've not used one, when I had my back pain I would have been questionable weight wise for one. I know a friend in the States had very good results from one and considers it the main reason she is pain free. I don't believe they are cheap, so asking a health professional would be worthwhile on this one (although they may just shrug, I don't know how common they are in the UK).
