Choosing the ideal saddle

Another consideration. When do you start to get saddle discomfort? If in the first few miles, something is clearly wrong with the saddle.

If it's something that just builds up over a few hours in the saddle, it could be just lack of leg strength. As your legs tire, more weight rests on the saddle and pain increases.

May just need to increase distances gradually.

And whats wrong with a Brookes saddle? :laugh::laugh::laugh: I used to use one but they are so heavy and need a raincover. (rear end controversy alert!)
I recently picked up a dusty old swallow here for about three quid. Always wanted to try a Brooks and I do find it quite comfy. They are quite heavy but they are so well made the chrome rails are still perfect. As for a cover you can usually find an old plastic bag somewhere :unsure:.
