Okay, we're fairly traditional here, the usual turkey crown, baked gammon, pigs in blankets and veg etc.
I don't tend to make desserts but usually buy something really nice.
Oh and a cheese board for later in the evening

Do you eat something different, a take-away, or eat out?

Very trad here, including Xmas pud which we never manage on Xmas day and have after salad and do,d meat on Boxing Day

Smoked salmon on Christmas day evening, champagne and nibbles opening presents before lunch (probably why no room for Xmas pud)

However, at my Xmas do this year I'm having turbot for the main course rather than turkey

Ooh!! scrummy, Talking of "pigs in blankets",
In a restaurant in Spain once, they dished up a similar version with our meal, except it was a date with the stone removed and replaced with an almond, wrapped in bacon.
They were really nice.

The wife wants something different this year as turkey is boring...I did point out that we only eat turkey once a year so by default it's exciting (and I love turkey!)
After 2 years of eating only turkey or chicken I'm glad to get away from it these last few months. But, I will eat it for Christmas dinner
