Cingles du Mont-Ventoux

Has anyone done the Mt Ventoux 3 way. I tried last year and had to pull out after the second climb. Determined to do it this year, in August. I am after any tips. http://www.clubcinglesventoux.org/en.html

Did it just the once last year - and also back in the 90s - last year was a 70 odd mile round trip on a 'rest' day. Had we camped at the bottom of the climb, 2 , or 3 assents may just been possible, but still would have only climbed it once, I think, and spent more time taking in the views.
