How big is your partner? It looks like a child sized bike

They are just budget level bikes. If you can get one that hasn't been used or abused much they're fine. In fact I have one of a similar vintage to that.

I know what you mean but l was assuming it looks small because of the high camera angle....will have to check that out !

As long as everything's in good working order those sort of low-end MTBs are fine both on and off the road. Mrs Chris rides a similar-ish Saracen (though I've replaced a few bits and bobs and it's got some nice CX tyres on now) and we've done some trails together on it (she was humouring me, she's not that keen on MTB'ing but she's nice like that!).

If u wnat to use it for mtbing it has no suspension - you might be better getting her something with front suspension - she might enjoy it more
