    Just brought a Voodoo Limba cyclocross bike 2nd hand and it's fitted with some Shimano pedals that are flat on one side and have a clip or something on the other, i think they are these;

    There is a link on that page to SH-56 cleats but what shoe am i going to need? Very confused by all of this clip / clipless / cleats / spd stuff!

    A pic of the bike is here if you are interested!

    Hi Mike
    You need the cleats as specified in the link and shoes that wil take standard SPD cleats, nearly all cycle shoes have the 2 hole fixings for SPD's so you'll have a wide range of styles to choose from. Make sure you try them for size and esnure they're not too tight around the toe-box... as your feet and toes spread after a while pedalling.
    The benefit of spd's is that many of the shoes have the cleat recessed which allows you to walk normally.

    Thanks FF, thought it would be straight forward!

    Won't get any for a while as I've got to get used to drops and a new way of changing gear first! But at least I know what to look out for now.
