In this part of Lincolnshire we've been really lucky, unlike those near the rivers a few weeks back and now people like yourself and those in the west. Fingers crossed for you and hope the river doesn't flood yours

Who is the forum member who lives in Windsor? Haven't heard from him for a while, hope he hasn't floated off down to the Isle of Dogs.

BBC website just posted a news item regarding the death of a cyclist in flood waters. Oxfordshire. Sad day and one only wonders what the old boy was thinking. My condolences to his family

Planned to have lunch in the Runnymede Tearooms but it was inaccessible due to the closure of the A308. Pity as the people running it are giving up and the National Trust are taking over, bet their food will not be as good. The river did look very full.

My boat is in the middle of it at Sunbury . Cant get near her to see or check the lines . Still , shes a good old girl and has managed over 40 years of water hitting her .
I cant imagine how it feels to have your home at risk from something you are powerless over .
Ive noticed a lot of comments on the news about the lack of dredging of the river and that's something boaters over the last few years have been commenting to the EA about . They have done nothing about it and government has cut the funding to them again and again .
There are now talks of removing the waterways from the EA and making it charity based , pretty much like the canals . If that happens I can only see this type of flooding getting worse .

You can see local river level here
http://www.environment-agency.gov.u.../riverlevels/riverstation.aspx?StationId=7213

It is still about 10 in to a foot below 2003 levels

Neighbours are packing up and preparing to leave when necessary

Water round the house and 50 yards up the road
OUr garden and the road
