Hi there

I'm looking to buy a new pair of bib shorts and a short sleeved jersey from this company. The cycling club I'm a member of is having them specially made, so I really have to get my sizes spot on. I've got my measuring tape out and taken the necessary measurements. It says on both the bib short page and the jersey page to size down if you like a tight fitting and to size up if you like a loose fitting. I must admit I like my bib shorts to be tightish (there is nothing worse than feeling you are wearing pampers inside them because they are too loose). I like my jersey to be not too loose but not too tight either (I like to be able to put stuff in the back pockets. My measurements are:

Bottom half 38
Top half 39/40

Based on these measurements, what size of bib shorts and what size of jersey do you think I should order:

Cycling clothes tend to be small-made. I take 'M' in cycling gear, while all my normal clothing is 'S' - 38" chest, 30" waist, 36" hips. This might suggest that you need 'L'. I don't wear my cycling gear as tight as some do, similar as you seem to do.

Cycle clothing sizing is bizarre. I have a pair of medium and extra large dhb bib shorts and both fit me. Seems I'm xxl for assos. Ok I'm not Wiggo's build but xxl?

If your club has used the same make before maybe you can borrow someones to try on.

When my old club ordered new gear the company sent some trial sizes for us .not sure if that is an option allways.

How to I figure out which size to order?
The best way to determine the right size is to request a 14 day viewing sample and organize a try-on session with your team members. To order sizing samples, click on the 'Enquire' button in bottom right-hand corner of the 3D Designer. Then select 'I would like to receive samples for appraisal'.
