Love 'em. In biscuits and cakes, anything with apples, and stuck into a roast leg of lamb.
Green cardomum, or elachWhen you get a small seed/pip thing in pilau rice is that a clove? If so they taste nice.
I love cardamoms, and I eat the pods tooCloves and cardamom add a lovely taste but like a bouquet garni they should be removed before serving as biting into them is overpowering.
My dad does too, must be an age thingI love cardamoms, and I eat the pods tooand I love the flavour of cloves too.
I leave them on top of my Tunisian Orange Cake where they are used to flavour the syrup, but it's fairly obvious they are decoration at that point.I like cloves but I'll readily admit they're not subtle. And they're pretty much inedible too so never leave them in a dish you're serving.
one of these?I remember doing something in primary school putting cloves into oranges for Christmas lol

I didn't know that! I just put in cloves and the oranges separately. So you are meant to bake the orange first? The reason for the clove-studded oranges, apart from the smell, is that you bake them and then they are the basis of mulled wine.
