It's a bit more complicated than that...
A blade "grinder" is a waste of time - you have no control over the fineness of the grind, and it's very easy to overprocess. Get a burr grinder. We swear by the basic Krups one.
Very loudly this morning - because it's stopped working. Not a peep out of it, even after cleaning every possible thing to clean, and even after changing the fuse. This one's less than a year old, so it's in guarantee (the previous one lasted a bit longer, which I can live with.)

Now I just have to hope that the chap on the station with the coffee machine is in this morning - and escape the house before Mrs W realises she'll have to go shopping when she wakes up.

That's no good - very happy with my Krups Burr.

Thing is, once you've got your ground beans, what temperature water do you use if you aren't making espresso ? It took me a while to find a kettle with temp reading on it so I can get 70 degrees.
It don't really matter how you stored your beans or how they were ground if you go and pour boiling water on em cause they burn !
